He specialized in programs for expats working and residing in the Netherlands, assisting them in effective communication with their Dutch workplace and environment. Based on these experiences, he previously wrote the management guide Dealing with the Dutch, which sold over 70,000 copies.

Dutch and Water: Seeking their own level

This is a great contemporary look at the Dutch (The Netherlands) and their "partnership" with water. They have managed to control and live with this amazing force of nature and help others in the world do the same. At once comfortable and respectful with this element, their culture has also been shaped by it. The photography is beautiful and illustrative in explaining the text. You can really get a feel for the landscape and the "light" that is so well known in Dutch art that is seen in all the great museums of the world. This is a very informative text and one that you can pick up and read at any point in the book. You can feel the water and the wind...

Well organized book, lovely design, very readable and comprehensive (both historical and contemporary) 'beginners' guide to the waterworks of the Netherlands, by an enthusiastic Dutchman, in perfect English. Thank you Jacob, this is a great explanation for my Canadian friends!

Interesting book covering a very topical contents

This book includes text and photos of the Netherlands and it's water management. In times of climate change, The Netherlands needs to be ever more vigilant with it's water management. However, they are building on centuries of gaining expertise how to do this the best way. Therefore the country and it's people are confident to survive. The book provides an excellent overview of water management in The Netherlands.
